Strange and peculiar readings in the thickest part of the forest seem to be originating from some anomalous material present. You are dispatched to investigate the source of the oddness.

The forest is heavily wooded: tall deciduous trees grow shades of mottled green and puce. Natural breaks in the treeline between clearings make for the obvious route to explore.

Between the trunks grow fibrous brittle grasses. The clearing floors are a mix of flat slate-like stone and soft ochre moss on loamy soil. Songbirds the colour of burnished bark ply a constant melody, their timbre growing intense when danger is current.
