A Floral Fantasy

Needing to flee city walls before sunrise, you gather by a cave network accessible only when the tide is out.

The sea cave opens into a formal garden complex that’s in the late stages of construction. The gardens are being planted in honour of the Patrician’s tin jubilee, but work has paused for several weeks after a strange predator has been prowling the grounds.

Long as an anaconda, thick as a rhino, wet as snot. The segmented seal is a sorcerous chimaera that’s a cross between a polychaete worm and a sea lion. It’s been scavenging on moles, scorpions, and crabs; it’s hungry for sinew and fat.

Will you make it out or will you succumb to the beast that hunts these paths?
