Perfidious Racket is a Cthulhu Dark style game of conspiracy horror. It's got a bit of X-Files, but through a slightly grimier and more cynical lens.
It's also very compact. There isn't a lot of dressing on the engine, just roll d6 for skill and d6 for consequences and if your consequences is over your skill there's consequences.
That said, this works in its favor. Perfidious Racket has flavor, atmosphere, and a solid gameplay loop all in just a few pages. As a result, it's extremely easy to pick up, and you'll reliably get compelling gameplay out of it.
Overall, I'd recommend getting a copy if you like games that are really easy to start, games with a pulpy tone, and games that lean on atmosphere to sell a modern setting of paranoia, grey aliens, and martian demons.
